Question:  I'm coming to EAA AirVenture, where should I stay?

There is plenty of housing available in Oshkosh and the surrounding areas.  Usually the Oshkosh hotels are full but there are many other accommodations options.  Commercial properties up to 80 miles away such as hotels, motels, B&Bs and campgrounds, are listed on this website, as well as dormitories and other group housing.  Another popular alternative is Private Rental Accommodations.  There are several private whole homes or rooms for rent within the area.  Last year the average whole home or apartment rate was $300 per night.  Average room rates were $75 per night.  Find more information, including availability for all of these options by clicking on either EAA Commercial Site Accommodations or EAA Private Rental Accommodations.

Question:  Do you have any rate information for hotels?

You need to contact each hotel and other commercial properties directly to find out their rates.

Question:  How do I reserve a room at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh?

To reserve a room at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, please call 920-424-3226, or email, uwoeaa@lists.uwosh.edu.  A 3-night minimum is required at the University.

Question:  How do I get to the EAA AirVenture Grounds from where I am staying?

There are several different shuttles in the city of Oshkosh that will take you directly to the Convention Site, to shopping centers, to the Downtown area and to the University.  There is also a taxi service in Oshkosh.  Some of the hotels in the area offer shuttles to the grounds as well. The best thing to do is to ask your housing provider what the best way to get to the Convention Grounds is.

Question:  Can I bring my pet?

Pets are NOT allowed on the EAA Convention Grounds.  Different accommodations have different policies regarding pets.  Please inquire with the property or homeowner that you will be staying with to see if they are welcome there.

Question:  When renting out someone's home, do I send a deposit?

This is up to each individual homeowner.

Question:  How much should I expect to pay for lodging?

Appleton - Outagamie County Regional Airport (22 miles North), Green Bay - Austin Straubel International Airport (60 miles North), Madison - Dane County Regional Airport - (70 miles Southwest), Milwaukee – General Mitchell International Airport (90 miles South), Chicago - O'Hare International Airport (160 miles South)

Question:  Are there shuttle buses available from other areas?

There is a shuttle bus from the Outagamie County Regional Airport and various hotels in Appleton via Nationwide Travelers, 920-734-5620, www.nationwidetravelers.com.  There are also shuttle buses available from Austin Straubel International Airport and various hotels in Green Bay and the Appleton area via Lamers Bus Lines, 920-496-3600.
