The U.S. Travel Association has reported that the tourism industry is continuing its outstanding performance in 2012. In August, the travel industry added 7,000 new jobs, the ninth consecutive month of positive job growth in the travel sector. The rate of growth in America’s travel industry is now 30% faster than the rest of the economy. The U.S. Travel Association also reports that the industry has regained 59% of the jobs lost since 2008. It’s all good news for the accommodations and food services industries that benefit most from increased travel in the U.S.
