The Waterfowl Hunters EXPO – August 28th, 2021
How can a state with more than 60,000 waterfowlers NOT have a comprehensive, off-season duck hunter experience?
On Saturday, August 28th, this surprising void will be filled by Wisconsin’s inaugural Waterfowl Hunters EXPO. The non-profit groups, government agencies, and professional marketing groups noted below have been collaborating for nearly a year to provide this overlooked service to the state’s waterfowlers.
Featuring family-friendly activities from cooking to dog training, offering both science-based and practical seminars, highlighting the latest gear and industry advancements, and including the state’s official calling contests and more, this one-day waterfowling celebration will appeal to the full spectrum of waterfowlers, from novices to old hands.
The WHEXPO is centrally located at the spacious, modern Sunnyview Exposition Center in OshKosh, WI.
A 90-minute drive from Wisconsin’s three major metropolitan areas, this radius contains over 65% of the state’s waterfowl stamp holders. With a low entry fee and pro bono professional marketing, no conflicts with regional outdoor shows, and immediately preceding the duck hunting season, we anticipate this event to launch successfully in 2021 and rapidly grow in the years ahead.
We are working now with industry partners who want to be featured in this exciting inaugural event in a state with a strong outdoor ethic. Presenting sponsor opportunities include:
• Shooting activities – try-guns, flurry shoots
• Dog training seminars
• Environmental, conservation, and biological seminars
• Land and wetland management seminars
• Academic research symposiums
• Hands-on seminar on practical aspect of waterfowling
• Duck and goose calling contests
• Kid-friendly hands-on activities such as decoy painting, call
• Cooking seminars
• Regulation and season structure info-gathering
• Boat rig displays and informal competitions
• Keynote speakers
Scheduled only days before the opening of the Wisconsin waterfowl season, this gathering provides an industry opportunity to display the latest equipment and services to an energized waterfowling community. Because this event is being run as a service to Wisconsin’s waterfowlers, and under the 501(c)3 umbrella of the non-profit Wisconsin Waterfowl Association, industry pricing to participate is low, and may even be tax-deductible.
Vendor exhibit and sales areas offer booth space as low as $100 for 12’x12’ footprint including entrance and parking fees. And vendors will benefit from visibility from the substantial social and traditional media which organizers have cultivated to this audience over decades.
