Award-winning children's book author Lisl Detlefsen visits the library from 10 - 11 a.m., and we can't wait for you to meet her! She'll share how she became a published author and what it's like to live and work on her family's cranberry marsh in Wisconsin. Drop in for fun activities all morning in the Children's Department. Decorate a cookie, engage in sensory play at the "cranberry marsh" activity station, make your own jetpack, snap a silly picture at the photo booth and more. If you've signed up for the Wild Winter Read Off Challenge, stop by and redeem your points for prizes.
After Lisl's morning appearance, she'll return at 1 p.m. for a talk aimed at encouraging adult writers to tap into their creativity.
