Winnebago County Master Gardeners Annual Winter Escape Summer Dreams Garden Seminar Day

Please, join the Winnebago County Master Gardeners February 15 for our gardening seminar day at LaSure’s Banquet Hall, just off Highway 41.

8:00 - Continental Breakfast, register and visit the Silent Auction and Raffle area.

8:30 - Convene and from 8:45-10:15, Benjamin Futa, the Executive Director of Allen Centennial Gardens at UW-Madison will be the Keynote Speaker with “Brown Is a Color, Too”.

There will be a short break and at 10:45 when Anita Carpenter, Ecologist and Volunteer Prairie Keeper for UW-Oshkosh with speak on “Native Naturally”.

11:45 - Lunch break with time to look through the Auction and Raffle items.

12:45 - Benjamin Futa will again speak, this time on the topic of “Principles of Planting Design with Perennials”.

1:45 - Break until 2 when the Auction and Raffle close.

2-3:00 - “Seeds of Change” will be the subject of Jim Niehuis, Professor of Horticulture at UW-Madison.

The day comes to a close at 3:00 PM with Door Prize, Silent Auction and Raffle winners announced and collection of Evaluations.

The cost is $45 through February 11, 2020 and $50 thereafter. It includes the Continental Breakfast and lunch and there will be Gluten-Free options available.
