New food vendors, expanded entertainment, and Wisconsin's most-loved Saturday tradition is back
OSHKOSH, Wis. (May 27, 2026) – The Oshkosh Saturday Farmers Market returns to downtown Oshkosh on Saturday, May 30, opening its 2026 season one week earlier than usual with 193 approved vendors, new food offerings, and expanded entertainment. The market runs every Saturday through October, excluding July 4 weekend in observance of Oshkosh's Fourth of July parade.
This year introduces a notable expansion in food vendors, including sushi, grilled Asian meat and vegetable skewers, locally smoked salmon, canned cold coffee beverages, and a locally produced energy drink made with real ingredients. Returning favorite Green Hearts (homemade Asian noodles) is back, and live entertainment expands with new blues and country performers alongside returning favorites including Polka at the Market, co-sponsored with the Gibson Social Club.
Repeatedly named to national "Best Farmers Markets" lists, the Oshkosh market hosted 231 unique vendors in 2025, averaging 115 each week. Community events drew large crowds throughout the season, with Christmas in July generating nearly 800 pounds of donated food for local pantries and Trick-or-Treat at the Market helping bring more than 10,000 visitors to downtown Oshkosh.
The market also continues to lead Wisconsin in food access. During 2025, shoppers redeemed $38,731 in tokens through SNAP and related food-access programs. Through the market's Match-20 program, SNAP users can receive up to $20 in matching tokens each market day for fresh produce, meats, baked goods, and other eligible foods.
"Our goal is to keep the market fresh and welcoming while still holding onto the local community atmosphere people value," said market board chair Michael Cooney. "The market continues to evolve, but at its heart it's still about local food, local people, and creating a vibrant downtown experience."
The market's national profile has grown alongside EAA AirVenture, with visitors consistently describing it as one of the best they've attended. The Winter Market, hosted in partnership with the Oshkosh Arena and Oshkosh Convention Center, averaged approximately 1,000 visitors per market last season.
The Oshkosh Saturday Farmers Market is held on Main Street in downtown Oshkosh every Saturday from May 30 through October 31, excluding July 4 weekend. For more information visit visitoshkosh.com/things-to-do/shopping/farmers-market
