Arts & Culture

Oshkosh has a thriving arts scene, which includes beautiful, historic venues and art galleries.

The Paine Art Center and Gardens is one of Oshkosh’s most treasured, historic venues. This amazing estate is home to more than a thousand pieces of art and twenty outdoor garden areas.  Click here to learn more about the new exhibit: Wanderings: An Exhibition of Photographs by Gretchen Herrmann Benefiting the Paine Art Center and Gardens, September 29, 2020 to October 25, 2020

The Grand Oshkosh is one of Oshkosh’s most historic and well-preserved performing arts venues and the oldest operating Opera House in Wisconsin. The elegantly restored Howard in downtown hosts concerts, dinner theater, and features a 1920’s style bowling alley.

Take a walk in Downtown Oshkosh and explore numerous art galleries or find new inspiration at UW Oshkosh’s Allen Priebe Gallery, which features art by university students. Art adventurers will also find murals and statues throughout downtown and on the Riverwalk.  Join us every first Saturday of the month from 6 - 9 pm for the Oshkosh Gallery Walk!  Come to the heart of Historic Downtown Oshkosh to see the work of local, regional, and national artists. Have a chance to meet and mingle on a night dedicated to the arts.
