Oshkosh has a thriving arts scene, which includes beautiful, historic venues and art galleries.
The Paine Art Center and Gardens is one of Oshkosh’s most treasured, historic venues. This amazing estate is home to more than a thousand pieces of art and twenty outdoor garden areas. The Grand Oshkosh is one of Oshkosh’s most historic and well-preserved performing arts venues and the oldest operating Opera House in Wisconsin. The elegantly restored Howard in downtown hosts concerts, dinner theater, and features a 1920’s style bowling alley (reopening soon.)
Take a walk in Downtown Oshkosh and explore numerous art galleries or find new inspiration at UW Oshkosh’s Allen Priebe Gallery, which features art by university students. Art adventurers will also find murals and statues throughout downtown and on the Riverwalk. Check out First Fridays in Downtown Oshkosh. Enjoy all Downtown Oshkosh has to offer the first Friday of each month from 4-9pm. Every First Friday, we’ll list where you can find the coolest art galleries, shop late, see awesome live musicians, enjoy great cuisine and local beverages and partake in fun downtown experiences. Join us every first Saturday of the month from 6 - 9 pm for the Oshkosh Gallery Walk! Come to the heart of Historic Downtown Oshkosh to see the work of local, regional, and national artists. Have a chance to meet and mingle on a night dedicated to the arts.
