OSHKOSH, Wis., Oct. 22, 2024 – Oshkosh Public Library is excited to announce the launch of its new website and refreshed brand identity on Thurs., Oct. 24.

This significant update underscores the library’s renewed commitment to serving the community. With the tagline, “Spark Your Story,” the dual initiatives reflect the library’s dedication to empowering community members in their lifelong journeys of learning and personal growth.

The new website, the first major update since 2013, features easy navigation to help visitors discover new books, explore local history and access resources for learning and entertainment. An innovative events calendar streamlines program registration and room reservations, enhancing the user experience.

“This new website is designed with ease of use in mind. It simplifies access to everything the library has to offer, making it more intuitive to navigate to what you’re looking for no matter what kind of device you’re using,” said Library Director Darryl Eschete.

Eschete added, “The new website is a major step forward to modernizing library service for the Oshkosh community, reflecting the convenience and accessibility that people expect.”

The library’s new logo features a lion's head and vibrant sparks, symbolizing its 124-year history and core values of strength and leadership.

“Our new brand identity highlights our mission and sets us apart as a recognizable resource when you’re ready to take the next step in your life’s journey,” Eschete noted. “With the lion’s head and sparks as our organization’s symbol, we are proud to roar with a new commitment to serving Oshkosh and to help light the way towards new paths of learning in users’ lives,” said Eschete.

Patrons will notice vibrant new visuals on library cards, throughout the building, in all communications, and at outreach events in the coming months.
