A strategic partnership of key Oshkosh organizations aims to highlight the city’s opportunities and attractions for industry, leisure, and aviation at the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2023. Discover Oshkosh, Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation, Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce, the City of Oshkosh, and Wittman Regional Airport have joined forces to demonstrate the exceptional livability and appeal of the Oshkosh area to prospective residents, businesses, and visitors.

This collaboration includes hosting a booth at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2023, the world’s largest air show and gathering of aviation enthusiasts. Each year the event draws more than 600,000 attendees and 10,000 aircraft from around the world1. Visitors can enjoy interactive photo-ops, giveaways, and a nostalgic postcard activity while engaging with Oshkosh experts on topics such as:

  • Stay Awhile— Many EAA AirVenture and aviation enthusiasts express their future plans to live or retire in Oshkosh. Why wait? Oshkosh is a great place to live and offers a high quality of life with a low cost of living2.

The partnership also involves coordinating media relations and social media campaigns to raise awareness and generate buzz about Oshkosh during the EAA AirVenture week.

“We are excited to work together with our partners to showcase Oshkosh as a vibrant and dynamic city that is open for business and ready to welcome visitors,” said Tricia Rathermel, President and CEO of Greater Oshkosh EDC. “EAA AirVenture is a great opportunity to highlight the strengths and assets of our community and to attract new investments, talent, and tourism.”

Rob Kleman, President and CEO of the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce, echoed Rathermel’s sentiments. “Oshkosh has a lot to offer to businesses and travelers alike. We have a diverse and innovative economy, a friendly and hardworking culture, and a significant connection to aviation.
