The Oshkosh Community YMCA

The Oshkosh Community YMCA has two locations within the city. The 20th Avenue location comes complete with a weight training and cardio area, pool, sauna, basketball courts, indoor soccer field and ice rink. The downtown location on Washington Ave. comes equipped with basketball courts, pool and sauna, racquetball courts, weight training and cardio areas and a whirlpool. Both facilities are also equipped with multi-purpose rooms, locker rooms and a licensed child care center. Day passes and tours are available without an appointment. The YMCA is open to all members of the community.

O-Town Iron

This 24-hour gym is perfect for the weightlifter on-the-go, giving you the ability to fit a workout into any schedule. O-Town Iron is dedicated to helping their members achieve their wellness goals. This iron-paradise has one rule and one rule only – push yourself. Grunting and heavy breathing are not frowned upon but, encouraged. The gym offers day and monthly passes as well as personal training and bodybuilding classes. The pumping music and overall inclusive atmosphere make this bodybuilding gym one of the best places to get a pump in Oshkosh.

JET Functional Fitness

For those looking for a less traditional fitness experience and a little more direction, JET Functional Fitness offers classes to help you get the results you’ve been looking for. All the trainers leading classes have a four-year degree in the health and fitness field. The fast-paced, high energy classes will help you achieve any goal in the areas of basic fitness, strength, sports performance, functionality or more muscle definition. The superior knowledge of the trainers will provide you with optimal and sustainable results. JET has multiple classes every day, with classes always changing to hold the trainee’s interest.

University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Recreation Department

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s Recreation Department houses state of the art facilities that feature strength training equipment, more than 100 pieces of cardio equipment, basketball/volleyball courts, walking track, climbing wall and golf simulator. The newest addition to the University’s recreation department is the Rec Plex. The brand new field is a 4.35-acre, multi-use turf surface perfect for football, soccer, baseball, softball, rugby and lacrosse. The facility is fully operational year round thanks to an inflatable dome on the south fields and is available to rent out on weekends for camps, clinics, tryouts and tournaments. These facilities are only made available to UW Oshkosh students and those who are accompanied by a student.
