Ah, Supper Club Saturday!

You instantly have a memory and a warm glow don’t you? Well now you can glow up at the gorgeous Anchor & Port, the Oshkosh Marriott Waterfront Hotel’s restaurant! When Dawn and I saw the new Supper Club menu, offered on select Saturdays, we knew we had to add it to our list of supper club experiences.

Here’s what we’re looking at: a five course dinner, with $5 old-fashioneds!

Pat immediately veered off-plan and ordered a Caramel Apple Old Fashioned. Of course it was amazing. We’re big relish tray people, so we love the radishes, celery, carrots, pickled asparagus + mushrooms and the smoky bacon dip. Before you could say ‘Yes, I’ll have another’ the French Onion Soup came to slay me with its gooey cheesy oniony goodness. Then, a fresh green salad delighted us both. As you can guess, at this point Dawn and I look at each other and say ‘I’m full!’

Chef Vince and his sidekick personally presented the prime rib to us. I’m unsure if he knew I was Pat or if he does this for everyone, but it’s a nice touch! Before us, a hefty serving of beef, snuggled in with mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, asparagus and horseradish sauce. We surprised ourselves and ate quite a bit. Somehow we rallied for Key Lime Pie and Creme Brulee Cheesecake, in fact we rallied so hard that we barely got a pic of the desserts!

We’ve been to Anchor & Port several times, and we love the friendly staff! We also love the Sunday-Thursday Happy Hour with ½ priced pizza, $5 old fashioneds and $5 wine. C’mon!
