1. UWO Men's Basketball: A Legacy of Success and Excitement for the Upcoming Season

The UWO Men's Basketball team has enjoyed a lot of success in recent years. In the past 5 national tournaments they've been to an Elite 8, been National Runner-Up, and were National Champions in 2019. They've earned a spot in the National Tournament for 7 straight years, which is the 2nd longest active streak in DIII.

This past season, the Titans won 24 games and were the WIAC Regular Season Champions for the second straight year. You do not want to miss out on seeing the next season get started!

2. Tickets cheaper than $10?!

Who said that watching high quality basketball involves paying high ticket prices? At UWO home basketball games you get to experience some of the NCAA’s best collegiate athletes play for less than $10! Ticket prices for basketball games will be $9 for adults, $7 for senior citizens (65 and older) and $5 for students (K-12 and non-WIAC institutions). Students that attend WIAC schools get in free with a valid student ID. Do yourself a favor and get to a UWO men’s home basketball game!

UW Oshkosh Basketball season opener is November 8th, 2023 - as the Titans take on Illinois Tech. November 8th is also their annual Welcome Back Bash & Titans Care Mental Health Awareness Night! There will be many activities for UW-Oshkosh and prospective students. It's also Clash's Kids Night so all kids 17 & under get in free!

*UWO students can enter the game free of charge as long as they have their student ID present.

3. Bolt Band

UW Oshkosh home games are about to get even better and you can thank the Bolt Band for that. In early January of 2022, the UWO pep band was introduced - making this year 3 for our beloved Bolt Band! This new pep band has been an amazing addition to UWO athletics. Bolt Band brings vibrant energy to Kolf Sports Center and can be seen in action at an upcoming home game!

4. UWO Players love Oshkosh

We had the opportunity to chat with Reed Seckar, a sophomore at UW Oshkosh! "I think what I love most about Oshkosh is the people. Living here my entire life, I’ve been able to create a lot of relationships with different people in Oshkosh" Reed shared. He chose UWO based off the basketball program but also the connection he felt with the players and coaches.

"Ever since my first visit at UWO, I always felt very welcomed. It has also been very nice to be so close to home while also being a part of a high level program" Reed says.

5. UWO Head Coach loves Oshkosh

We spoke with Head Coach Matt Lewis who shared why he wants YOU to attend the UWO Men's basketball games! "Throughout the last few years, our players have invested so much in this team. When they play, they demonstrate that passion on the court and on the bench. Our team is an exciting team to watch because of the energy, enthusiasm, and competitiveness that they play with every night."

Although Coach Lewis may not be from Oshkosh, or have gone to college here, he shares that the people make UWO and the city of Oshkosh so special as if he did grow up here.
