Everything you need for the Perfect Picnic
Planning the perfect picnic in Oshkosh is easy. Start with a picnic blanket, a tablecloth, a hammock, or some foldable lawn chairs so you can relax wherever you choose to set up. Additionally, a cooler or insulated tote is a must for keeping your drinks and snacks fresh, especially on a warm summer day.
When it comes to food, make your meal picnic-friendly by packing easy-to-eat items from places like Wagner Market, including sandwiches, wraps, salads, fresh fruit, chips, and cookies. Using reusable utensils, napkins, and cups helps reduce waste and keep things organized. Don’t forget to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated, or mix it up with some lemonade, sparkling water, or iced coffee for a refreshing treat.
Since you’ll likely be out in the sun or near the lake, sunscreen and bug spray are two essentials to pack for your picnic. To add a little entertainment, consider packing a portable speaker for music, a journal or book for relaxing, or a deck of cards to enjoy with friends or family. Last but not least, it’s essential to bring a trash bag so you can clean up when you’re done. Leaving your picnic spot just as beautiful as you found it ensures everyone can enjoy it after you!
