Your Friendly Neighborhood Grocery
When it comes to local flavor, Wagner Market in Downtown Oshkosh delivers on every level. I'm a big fan—especially of the meat counter, where you’ll find over 30 flavors of handmade bratwurst. From there, the experience only gets better: browse hundreds of craft beers, Wisconsin-made cheeses, and a scratch-made deli that’s perfect for your next PATio party. Be sure to say hello to Chef Ruben, Mike (the boss), and Sara (the real boss)—and don’t forget to tell them Pat sent you!
The first thing you notice when you walk into the front door of Wagner Market is the incredible variety of tasty food products. An entire section of the store devoted to rubs, seasonings and condiments. It’s a unique collection, whether you’re bbq-ing, smoking or just plain grilling, you’ll find something here.
But before you even get to the meat counter, you have to pass through a gauntlet of deli cases, 100+ Wisconsin cheeses, the single malt whiskey aisle – to even get back to the meat counter. Trust me, they have everything you’d need for:
- Your next cookout
- Pasta night
- Book club
- Dad’s night to cook
- & everything in between!
It's a BRAT Summer in Oshkosh
The real star of the show is the meat counter! Showcasing 30+ flavors of handmade bratwurst. My personal favorite – the Teriyaki Pineapple Brat as an appetizer – chop it up and make it bite sized! The Mac & Cheese and Bloody Mary are close seconds.
PLUS! If you haven’t met Chef Ruben yet, don’t be shy. Ruben is super friendly and passionate about food and is available to help with your brat or meat selections.
But Wagner has way more than Artisan brats – aged and cut-in-house steaks, specialty chicken breasts - you have to see this selection to believe it! And best of all, you can get it as dinner for one or to feed the whole crew.
Out of This World Beer Selection
I have never seen a beer selection like Wagner Market …it’s beyond comprehension! Beers from around the world lie waiting for you to discover them, cases stacked higher than a man, hidden in a treasure trove of new flavors. Nitros, porters, IPAs, lagers - you name it, they’ve got it! Be sure to cruise through the local beer selections too from Fifth Ward Brewing Company, Bare Bones Brewery, and Fox River Brewing Company!
